|Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you give free estimates?
Yes, we are happy to come to your home and meet with you, give you with a candid assessment of your fabrics and hard surfaces, and provided you with a written estimate.
- Do you clean the same day as the estimate?
Under most circumstances we do not. When we come to your home for your estimate, we are able to determine how long your job will take whereby we can schedule an appointment that is convenient and allows sufficient time to be done properly.
We will put you in the schedule immediately or as soon as you call. Lead times vary based on the amount of work to be completed and holiday scheduling. Usually we can find ample time for your appointment within a week.
- How much do you charge per room?
We do not charge by the room. We charge by square footage for the area that is actually cleaned.
- Do you move furniture?
Yes, we will move any and all furniture that you request. If there are beds, dressers, etc, that you do not want moved, we do not charge you for the areas under the furniture. (i.e. Exposed areas vs. wall to wall)
- How long does it take for my carpet/upholstery to dry?
The length of time to dry is determined by air circulation. The more air you circulate via air conditioning, ceiling fans, etc the faster your fabrics will dry. With proper circulation, you can expect a 4-6 hour period until the carpet feels dry to the touch. Most upholstery fabrics are dry in 2 hours.
We gladly provide plastic shoe covers so you may traverse the carpet at any time, but we prefer as little use as possible during the first few hours.
- Why steam cleaning instead of dry cleaning?
Steam cleaning when done properly will leave you with a superior finished product because of its ability to clean deeper and more thoroughly. Steam cleaning is recommended by most carpet mills but again, it takes three components: proper equipment, proper compounds, and most importantly, proper training.
